Granting Information

Information for grant-seekers

Koondee Woonga-gat Toor-rong will commence granting in 2019 after the launch in March 1st.

There will be two granting rounds this year.

To apply, download and complete a pro-forma application from this website and submit it to the Executive Officer.

Please note that only applicants from the Fellowship of Indigenous Leadership and Woor-Dungin networks can apply for grants in 2019. Please note: The Board of Koondee Woonga-gat Toor-rong has decided to restrict grant-making to the two networks involved in the establishment of the Fund in Year 1 with the aim of broadening its granting scope in 2020.

Koondee Woonga-gat Toor-rong will:

  • provide seed or start-up funding for innovative projects and proposals that benefit individuals and communities, respond to challenges or support opportunities for change-making.

  • not fund what should or could be funded elsewhere.

  • fund projects up to $10,000.

  • make grants for a twelve month period only.

Grant-seekers will submit a brief written application to the Board via the Executive Officer. Applications will be short-listed and the Executive Officer will visit those applicants and/or communities. The Board will then make final decisions re successful grant recipients.
